In fact, a number of Proposal Software employees are former customers. They were proposal management professionals representing a range of industries including Healthcare, Insurance, Financial Services and Asset Management.

Today, these individuals help facilitate the smooth training and onboarding of new customers as well as assist in ongoing support for existing customers.  Their success is accomplished through their personal experience and expertise using the PMAPS system as well as their application of Proposal Management best practices in order for customers to optimize their proposal operations using the PMAPS system.

Innovation to meet the needs of our customers

PMAPS was first developed in 1994 in response to a Fortune 500 Healthcare company’s need to double proposal volume while maintaining headcount. Our CTO and co-founder, Steven Heffter, worked closely with the Healthcare company’s proposal management director to understand the workflow of their current proposal process and identify steps to streamline the process and improve productivity.

The result of that engagement was PMAPS.  Since that time PMAPS has evolved to meet the needs of our customers, driven in most part, by listening to, and working with thousands of the best, proposal professionals that use our software everyday.  In 2009, we launched PMAPS® WebPro, an entirely web-centric, cloud-based version of our successful Client/Server version of PMAPS. This move to a cloud-based system brings greater scalability and flexibility to our delivery options to meet any organization’s proposal requirements and budget.

Today, PMAPS® WebPro is used by some of the world’s leading financial services, technology, asset management, healthcare, legal, and manufacturing organizations. These companies rely daily on PMAPS to help proposal managers, and sales and marketing professionals streamline the process of storing, managing, accessing and distributing content to support the proposal management and RFP response process.
