PMAPS Introduces Work At Home Connectivity
April 20, 2004, Westport, CT – Proposal Software Group today announced that it has added a ‘work at home’ feature to its popular Proposal Management and Production System (PMAPS). “Our PMAPS user community is made up of the most incredibly hard working proposal professionals there are,” said John Laurino, Proposal Software CEO. “PMAPS remote connectivity provides the flexibility telecommuting to help meet the critical deadlines that come with managing an enterprise’s RFP and RFI pipeline,” he added. “Avoiding weekends in the office and extending maternity leaves are two particular benefits.”
The ‘work at home’ feature utilizes GoToMyPC technology. “Because most corporate firewalls are already configured to permit outgoing Web traffic, PMAPS users won’t need to bypass or compromise their company’s firewall to implement secure remote access with GoToMyPC,” said Steven Heffter, head of the PMAPS Development Team. The feature is integrated with both PMAPS Platinum and PMAPS Gold applications. The ‘work at home’ feature requires no training other than clicking through a ‘wizard’. Internet access is required for the ‘work at home’ module to be active.
