Proposal Management Software Platform PMAPS
Celebrates 10-Year Milestone
February 14th, 2006 Westport, CT – Proposal Software, Inc., developers of the leading proposal management software platform Proposal Management and Production System (PMAPS) celebrated a record 10 year milestone of providing services to the health care giant WellPoint.
“This 10-year mark of PMAPS’s utilization at WellPoint is a noteworthy achievement,” said John A. Laurino, CEO of Proposal Software, Inc. “It demonstrates how critical PMAPS has become for large companies that must continually respond to a high volume of sophisticated, major account RFPs and RFIs under tight deadlines in order to maintain their sales momentum.”
Laurino said the 10-year milestone of PMAPS’s deployment was an important testimony to the platform’s initial design and strong technology underpinnings, as well as its adaptability to the complex demands of a rapidly growing enterprise.
PMAPS was originally developed in 1994; its tenth generation is currently scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2006. Each new release, said Laurino, was a direct result of intense monitoring of user feedback and increasingly complex user needs.
“We took the time to understand the needs of all of the stakeholders involved in the proposal process,” said Laurino. “You’ve got to respect the time and business requirements not only of the direct proposal teams, but also the Subject Matter Experts throughout the enterprise they rely upon for technical content. We also recognized a sales organization’s need for quick turnarounds and constant information, and the IT department’s desire for stable software that requires little to no support.”
