Mike McKenzie Named Director of Commercial Operations of Proposal Software, inc.
October 31st, 2005 Westport, CT – In the latest expansion by the rapidly growing Westport, Connecticut based firm Proposal Software, Inc., Mike McKenzie of Fayetteville, Ga., has been named director of commercial operations. The announcement was made today by John Laurino, Proposal Software, Inc. CEO.
McKenzie officially assumed the new position Oct. 17, 2005.
Proposal Software, Inc.’s flagship product is the leading proposal management software Proposal Management and Production System, (PMAPS). Originally developed in 1994 and currently in its ninth generation, PMAPS is currently in use at over 100 major health care, financial services, and Fortune 1000 companies worldwide
As Proposal Software, Inc.’s director of commercial operations, McKenzie will oversee the sales, support and training for commercial use of PMAPS, addressing the proposal needs of a wide range of businesses nationwide. He will be based in the company’s Atlanta, Ga. offices.
Commenting on the appointment, Laurino said, “Mike McKenzie continues our successful pattern of attracting only time-tested proposal professionals to the PMAPS team. We never forget that our role, since 1994, is not the replacement of the proposal professional but, with the help of our clients, to maintain PMAPS as representing ‘best practices’ in managing the RFP, RFQ and RFI process.”
Before joining Proposal Software, Inc., McKenzie managed the Proposal Response Team for Atlanta-based Manhattan Associates, Inc., the nation’s leading supply chain software provider. His team’s responsibilities included the production of RFP, RFI and RFQ responses, in addition to overall proposal and presentation support for the company’s sales force.
Prior to Manhattan Associates, McKenzie served as proposal development manager at Atlanta-based Cingular Wireless. He has also previously held public relations and marketing management positions with Alltel, NorAm Energy, the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) and the Arkansas Museum of Science and History.

A native of Cheyenne, Wyo., McKenzie attended Penn State University and the University of Arkansas at Little Rock, where he majored in Journalism and Communications. He currently resides in Fayetteville, Ga.
