Mastering the Request-for-Proposal (RFP) Process Conference To Feature Talk By Proposal Software, Inc. CEO and PMAPS Client Neuberger Berman

November 10th, 2005 Westport, CT – Using technology to master the critical and highly complex Request-for-Proposal (RFP) Process will be the subject of a joint presentation by John A. Laurino, CEO of Proposal Software, Inc., and Cynthia deJong, Proposal Manager of Neuberger Berman, in New York City on November 16th. Their presentation will be included in the Institute for International Research’s (IIR) conference entitled “Mastering the Request-for-Proposal (RFP) Process” to take place at The Marriott Financial Center on November 15th and 16th, 2005.

Proposal Software, Inc., is developer of the leading proposal management software Proposal Management and Production System (PMAPS), currently in use at over 100 Fortune 1,000-size companies worldwide.

Founded in 1939, Neuberger Berman is an investment advisory company with $101.4 billion in assets under management as of Sept. 30, 2005 and part of Lehman Brothers.

Leading off their joint presentation will be Proposal Software, Inc. CEO Laurino, who will discuss market forces that will vastly increase both the volume and degree of  complexity of RFPs and RFIs.

Following Laurino’s talk Neuberger Berman proposal manager deJong will discuss exactly how implementing technological solutions has impacted her firm’s proposal process. Neuberger Berman uses PMAPS to manage its RFP and Request-For-Information (RFI) workflow.

”Due to the superior productivity produced by PMAPS  over and above all other proposal solutions, PMAPS has become the front-runner among proposal management software,” said Laurino. “PMAPS has been increasingly in demand by leading edge companies who must continually respond to RFP’s in order to stay competitive."

“PMAPS is the first choice of the proposal professional,” he added.

PMAPS is used by a wide cross section companies including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts, AAM-Investment Management, Blue Asset Management, and Fred Alger Management, as well as the 243-year-old UK-based investment management firm Baring Asset Management. Other clients include leading financial services, healthcare, and investment management companies including ING Investment Management and WellPoint family of healthcare companies.

PMAPS  was originally developed in 1994 and is currently in its ninth generation.  The tenth generation PMAPS  2006, with over 150 new productivity improvements, is on schedule for release by the end of the first quarter 2006.
