Newest Release of Proposal Software Management Software PMAPS To Be Previewed at the IIR Conference on May 4th

April 17th, 2006 Westport, CT – John A. Laurino, CEO of the Westport, Connecticut based Proposal Software, Inc., will showcase the newest, tenth generation release of his company’s leading edge proposal management software PMAPS 2006, at an Institute for International Research (IIR) conference to be held in Boston May 3-5, 2006. The conference, entitled “Mastering the Request-for-Proposal (RFP) Process” is geared for professional proposal managers as well as those new to the RFP process.

“Implementing Technology and Database Architecture to Manage Your Proposal Process More Effectively” will be the subject of a panel discussion in which Laurino will discuss the latest generation of PMAPS, including its 150-plus enhancements.

Originally developed around a proprietary work flow in 1994 for major corporations with large proposal volumes, and currently in its tenth generation, PMAPS 2006 is a comprehensive, “industrial strength” proposal management platform for companies whose proposal teams work under tight deadlines. PMAPS is currently in use by over 100 companies worldwide, including major healthcare, financial services and Fortune 1000-size corporations in the U.S., Europe and Asia.

At IIR’s “Mastering the Request-for-Proposal (RFP) Process” conference, RFP professionals will learn high-level strategies and specific techniques to make RFP teams as effective and efficient as possible. This is the only event that addresses the specific training requirements of the RFP industry.

On May 4th, Laurino and other panelists on “Implementing Technology and Database Architecture to Manage Your Proposal Process More Effectively” will discuss case studies on various technological solutions; best practices in housing, organizing and updating RFP data; methods to track content in order to maintain a consistent image and brand of the firm; how to implement new workflow efficiencies designed to increase productivity and profit margins; and how to aggregate internal and external data so that it is easily accessible and understandable.

While several panelists will represent developers of proposal management software, only Laurino’s firm, Proposal Software, Inc., is dedicated solely to proposal software.

“Because proposals are becoming more complex and more important to the sales and marketing function, we see a greater need to stay strictly focused on proposal management software,” said Laurino.

“Unlike our competitors, who along with proposal software have expanded into areas such as sales force automation and CRM support related software, Proposal Software, Inc. has never allowed our focus to be diverted from providing professionals proposal teams with ‘best in class’ technological solutions.”

“Technology is the only answer for leading edge companies who must continually respond to high volumes of RFP’s in order to stay competitive,” said Laurino. PMAPS 2006 is a user-friendly but powerful tool, making it the proposal management platform of choice for professional RFP teams of any size.”
