Koen Veenman To Head European Operations of Proposal Sotware, Inc.

October 3rd, 2005, Westport, CT and Vlissingen, the Netherlands – Koen Veenman of Vlissingen, the Netherlands, has been named Director of European Operations for the Westport, Conn.-based Proposal Software, Inc. (www.proposalsoftware.com). The announcement was made today by John Laurino, CEO of Proposal Software, Inc.

Proposal Software, Inc., whose flagship product is the leading proposal management software Proposal Management and Production System, (PMAPS), began European operations in 2003 when ING Investment Management in The Hague adopted PMAPS Financial as its proposal platform following a similar decision by its U.S. counterpart in 2001. The company’s European headquarters are located in Vlissingen, the Netherlands.

A resident of Vlissingen, the Netherlands, Veenman will officially assume the new position at Proposal Software, Inc. Nov. 1, 2005. He will be responsible for sales and relationship management for PMAPS clients in Europe and the UK. Current European clients include ING Investment Management, Merrill Lynch, Baring Asset Management, and Bank of New York.

“We are very pleased to have Koen join us to head Proposal Software’s European operations,” said Laurino. “His in-depth knowledge of the proposal management function acquired at major European financial organizations, along with his thorough familiarity with PMAPS,  ideally suits him for this position.”

Since May 2004 Veenman has served as Sales Information Officer for the international investment management firm Robeco Asset Management, headquartered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Veenman’s responsibilities include proposal writing and managing the firm’s company-wide proposal database. He also managed the firm’s sales information website and coordinated U.S. product information for the European offices.

Prior to his position at Robeco, Veenman served on the global consultants team of ING Investment Management where he was manager of Request for Proposal (RFP) services.
Veenman cited his experience using PMAPS at ING Investment Management as a major factor in his decision to become Proposal Software, Inc.’s director of European operations.

“After replacing ING’s previous proposal software system with PMAPS, the impact for the organization was absolutely astonishing,” he said. “PMAPS could benefit almost every proposal team involved in the creation of proposals, database management and knowledge sharing.”

“I look forward to helping European PMAPS users reap similar benefits in terms of efficiency, time savings, and producing higher quality proposals.”

Koen Veenman was born in ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the Netherlands. Educated in both Holland and Belgium, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in commercial economics from the Hogeschool Zeeland, in Vlissingen, The Netherlands. In addition to his native Dutch Veenman is fluent in English and Spanish.
