Proposal Software, Inc. Co-sponsors "Best Practices" Proposal Workshop with Integration Partners eVestment Alliance and QND

February 8th, 2007 London, England – A proposal management conference designed to present several “best practice” concepts to proposal professionals took place today at Threadneedles Hotel in London, England.   The conference was co-sponsored by Proposal Software, Inc., developers of  the leading Proposal Management and Production System (PMAPS); eVestment Alliance, developers of eASE Exchange, customized software that translates and transmits requested company data to populate third-party or consultant databases; and QND, developers of Concurrence, a tool for generating electronic submissions and other multimedia formats for presentation documents and proposals.

Proposal Software, Inc.’s flagship product, PMAPS is a comprehensive, “industrial strength” proposal management platform in use by over 200 companies worldwide, including major healthcare, financial services, investment management and Fortune 1000-size corporations from Guam to the European continent.  PMAPS is now fully integrated with both eASE Exchange and Concurrence, allowing PMAPS users to seamlessly flow their new business proposal related data across those two software platforms to and from PMAPS.

This exclusive, by-invitation-only conference demonstrated to a select group of high-level professional proposal managers how to boost proposal productivity and quality by leveraging cutting edge technological tools.  A panel entitled “Proposal Database Best Practices” moderated by Proposal Software, Inc. CEO John A. Laurino included presentations by proposal managers who represent some of the world’s largest financial institutions.

A second workshop, “Proposal Packaging and Presentations for the 21st Century” was presented by Ray Brown and Graeme Robson of the United Kingdom-based QND.  This workshop demonstrated how PMAPS users can use Concurrence to generate highly sophisticated and brand-compliant proposals in electronic formats increasingly demanded by procurement managers.

Said Brown, “Electronic Content Delivery (ECD) is critical to the communication process, and the competitive environment of the bid and proposal world is becoming the key space for major organizations to win new business.  The winners will be those businesses that can differentiate and articulate their value propositions. Concurrence provides professional, brand compliant delivery of any collateral – particularly bid and proposal documents – quickly and easily.”

Vince Bakshani, vice president of the Atlanta, Ga.-based eVestment Alliance conducted a third workshop on “Managing Consultant Bases and Synchronizing Data with Your Proposal Library”.  This workshop demonstrated how PMAPS users in the financial industry can access eASE Exchange to streamline the burden of updating consultant databases with asset, performance, characteristics, and other requested data.

Said Laurino, “We learn more about the proposal and new business process every time we gather together a group of professional proposal managers.  Our London workshop accomplished the goal of an exchange of ‘best practices’ involving both several global clients and two of our integration partners.”

Proposal Software, Inc. chief technology office Steven Heffter participated in both of the above workshops.  Heffter has been involved in the development of PMAPS since it was first introduced in 1994, and in each of its ten generations.

A major advantage of PMAPS is its ability to integrate, exchange and coordinate data with a variety of external database formats, such as eASE Exchange and Concurrence.  Other examples of platforms with which PMAPS  is integrated are LexisNexis’ InterAction CRM application, the leading CRM platform for the legal community; and Accent Technologies Librarian software, the leading PowerPoint driven “pitch book” management platform.

“We have experienced enormous demand for PMAPS by industry leaders in all four of the vertical markets we serve who must continually respond to high volumes of RFP’s in order to stay competitive,” said Laurino.  “PMAPS is a powerful tool whose scalability and ease of use makes it the proposal management platform of choice for professional RFP teams of any size.”
